Cut off Discs for Cast Iron Karbosan Type42

Karbosan cast iron cutting discs are mainly used for detaching runners and risers from the main piece upon casting.

Pig cast cutting discs are manufactured with silicon carbide abrasives. Silicon carbide abrasive particles have more pointed edges and are more brittle compared to aluminum oxide abrasives that are used on metal cutters. Therefore, higher particle penetration is obtained on cast materials and it is ensured that the piece is cut easily and clogging of the cutter edge is prevented during cutting operations of pig cast pieces with sand finish.

In the case that metal cutting discs are used for cutting operations of cast pieces, aluminum oxide abrasives become blunt easily and cutting effect cannot be achieved.

Karbosan cast cutting discs are ideal for cutting operations of non-ferrous materials such as brass, bronze, copper, plastic, aluminum.
