About NT Tools

The NT Tools range follows the work flow of an automotive service shop: jacks, engine stands and wheel dollies to lift and move the vehicle; testers to find the fault; sockets, ratchets, bits and pullers to strip and refit; torque wrenches to tighten to the right value; and slide hammers, clamps and spray guns for body and paint work.

On the socket side there are two families. CrV (chrome-vanadium) sockets are for hand tools -- ratchet, T-handle, torque wrench -- and come in 6-point, 12-point, spline, Torx, E-Torx and hex profiles, standard and deep, on 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ drive. CrMo (chrome-molybdenum) impact sockets are for air and cordless impact wrenches and take the hammer load without cracking. They are not interchangeable: a CrV socket can shatter on an impact wrench.

Socket families appear as one product page each, and the table on the page gives the order code of every size; quote the code when you ask for a price. Special sockets -- spark plug, oxygen sensor, injector, alternator, stud extractor -- are listed separately for jobs a standard socket cannot do.

The testers measure an engine and its systems without stripping parts: petrol and diesel compression, cylinder leak-down, fuel and oil pressure, injectors, cooling system and A/C pressure, battery and charging, brake fluid and antifreeze. Service kits handle brake fluid and automatic transmission fluid exchange, CV boots and clamps and brake piston wind-back with one set.
