GFB Lug Back Dial Indicator

The GFB Dial Indicator. A dial indicator measures difference, not absolute size: the tip rests on a reference and the needle shows deviation. 0.01 mm graduation is general purpose, 0.001 mm is for precision work. Z-setters zero tool length against the table on CNC; an edge finder locates the part edge. Used to check runout, parallelism, flatness and centring.
