Hand sockets fit a ratchet, T-handle or torque wrench to run nuts and bolts in and out. Three things decide the choice: the square drive (1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″), the profile (6-point, 12-point, Torx, E-Torx, hex, spline) and the length. A deep socket reaches over a stud or a long bolt; a 6-point profile grips the flats of the nut, so it does not round the corners at high torque. These are hand sockets; an air or cordless impact wrench needs impact-rated (CrMo) sockets. This family comes in 9 options: 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 19mm.
