Ratchets, extensions, universal joints, adaptors and T-handles are what turn the socket and carry it to the fastener. On a ratchet the tooth count sets the return arc: 72 teeth and more let the handle work in a very short swing, which counts in a cramped engine bay. A flex head gives angled access, an extension gives depth, and an adaptor steps between drive sizes. This family comes in 2 options: 1/4″, 1/2″.
