Sockets are the contact element that heats pipe and fitting together, and the type has to match the pipe and fitting brand in use. Type A and Type B sockets, compliant with DV2208, cover Ø 16-125 mm; Type AQ sockets for Aquatherm fittings cover Ø 20-125 mm.
For imperial sizes, CTS sockets run Ø ½" - 1¼" CTS and IPS sockets Ø ½" - 4" IPS. Three hole-repairing sockets are also available for patching pipe punctured on site, covering Ø 7, 8 and 11 mm holes.
