Mop and flap wheels are made from slit abrasive or non-woven leaves set around a hub. Unlike a flat disc the leaf lays onto the surface: contact is kept in an internal corner, along a weld or around a profile where a disc cannot bear, and as a leaf wears the next one comes through behind it. The grain is non-woven fibre. Size ø165 x 50 x ø25 mm. 280-600 grit is the very fine band: primer is flatted and the surface levelled before paint.
