Mop and flap wheels are made from slit abrasive or non-woven leaves set around a hub. Unlike a flat disc the leaf lays onto the surface: contact is kept in an internal corner, along a weld or around a profile where a disc cannot bear, and as a leaf wears the next one comes through behind it. The grain is aluminium oxide. Size 60 x 30. 10 per box. 80-120 grit is the medium band: it takes out the coarse scratch and prepares the surface for primer.
