The GFB Live Centre has an MT5 Morse taper. A live centre runs on bearings inside its body, turning with the workpiece so there is no rubbing and no heat build-up. Used to support long work from the tailstock. The Morse size has to match the tailstock; over-tightening loads the part and leaving it slack causes runout.
