Atlas Foam Backed Sanding Roll Gold 115 mm x 25 m 400 Grit

Atlas Gold foam backed roll is aluminium oxide on a foam backing, supplied 115 mm wide in a 25 metre roll. The foam lets the abrasive sit down onto the shape of the surface: on mouldings, edges, chamfers and profiles, where a flat block cannot bear evenly, the pressure stays even. A piece torn from the roll is folded into the hand, or run on a machine where one suits. Flatting primer, cutting back between coats and preparing timber before a final coat are where it is used most. 280-600 grit is the very fine band: primer is flatted, the surface is levelled before paint and left without visible scratches.
