These instruments measure things other than size: a refractometer the concentration of a fluid (antifreeze, AdBlue, coolant), a coating gauge paint and zinc thickness, a roughness tester the Ra value, and moisture meters, anemometers, sound level meters and tachometers moisture, air speed, noise and speed.
