Atlas Foam Backed Sanding Roll Gold 115 mm x 25 m 120 Grit

Atlas Gold foam backed roll is aluminium oxide on a foam backing, supplied 115 mm wide in a 25 metre roll. The foam lets the abrasive sit down onto the shape of the surface: on mouldings, edges, chamfers and profiles, where a flat block cannot bear evenly, the pressure stays even. A piece torn from the roll is folded into the hand, or run on a machine where one suits. Flatting primer, cutting back between coats and preparing timber before a final coat are where it is used most. 80-120 grit is the medium band: filler is levelled, the scratches the coarse grits left are taken out and the surface is made ready for primer.
