GFB Dead Centre MT4 Diamond Tipped

The GFB Dead Centre has an MT4 Morse taper, is diamond tipped. A dead centre does not rotate — the work slides on it. With no bearing clearance it is more rigid and more accurate than a live centre; the diamond tipped type carries a diamond insert against wear. Used in grinding and in turning work needing high accuracy. The rubbing face must be lubricated; the half centre allows facing right up to the centre.
