Magmaweld MonoSTICK 200i Inverter Welding Machine (200 A)

Inverter welding machines convert the mains supply by switching it at high frequency, which delivers the same welding current as a conventional transformer set from a much lighter case and at lower energy consumption. MMA (stick) machines need no gas cylinder, so they can be run straight off the electrode on site, in maintenance work and in steel fabrication. The MonoSTICK 200i is an MMA (stick) inverter welding machine delivering 200 A DC from a single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz supply. Welding current adjusts between 10 and 200 A and feeds electrodes from 2.00 to 4.00 mm; being able to run a 4.00 mm electrode at full current suits it to steel fabrication and thick-section welds as well as lighter work. The current scale is laid out by electrode diameter and read from a digital display. Open circuit voltage is 65 V DC, and the machine draws 9.7 kVA and 42.1 A from the mains, with a 32 A delayed fuse recommended. It weighs 10.5 kg, measures 467 x 160 x 312 mm, is rated IP 23S and is suitable for generator operation — the deciding feature on a site with no mains.
