Ritmo Bevelers Ø 20-315 mm

Bevelers break the sharp edge at the pipe end so it enters the fitting cleanly, without damaging the scraped surface on the way in. Anodised aluminium tools work at their own nominal diameter across Ø 20-40 mm and ½"-2" IPS; SME 1 chamfers to Ø 160 mm and SME 2 PLUS to Ø 315 mm with an orbital action. In electrofusion the result is decided largely by surface preparation: the oxidised skin has to be scraped off the whole welding zone, and the pipe has to be round and in line with the fitting. These tools make that preparation repeatable — scraping by hand with a blade leaves untouched patches, and that is the most common cause of failed joints.
