Ritmo RTC Pipe Scrapers Ø 50-500 mm

RTC scrapers work with a wide scraping band: RTC 160 covers Ø 50-160 mm outside with a 114 mm band, RTC 315 covers Ø 75-315 mm with 137 mm. RTC 500 carries a telescopic blade arm that scrapes the full length of the coupler, which is what on-site repairs need. In electrofusion the result is decided largely by surface preparation: the oxidised skin has to be scraped off the whole welding zone, and the pipe has to be round and in line with the fitting. These tools make that preparation repeatable — scraping by hand with a blade leaves untouched patches, and that is the most common cause of failed joints.
