Ritmo RAP 315 Rerounder, Aligner and Pulling System

RAP 315 combines three jobs. Its four independent jaws work individually as re-rounders — the jaw goes around the ovalised pipe and the tie rods are closed with a wrench. Combined with the alignment bars and spacers, the same jaws become a universal aligner; add the Pulling System 315 and turning the handle pulls pipe into fitting. In electrofusion the result is decided largely by surface preparation: the oxidised skin has to be scraped off the whole welding zone, and the pipe has to be round and in line with the fitting. These tools make that preparation repeatable — scraping by hand with a blade leaves untouched patches, and that is the most common cause of failed joints.
