Ritmo Pipe Cutters — TC 108, T1 and TU 75

Pipe cutters give the square, clean cut a joint starts from: a crooked cut cannot be aligned, and the welding face never sees even pressure. TC 108 cuts Ø 6-50 mm to 4.2 mm wall (0.38 kg), T1 cuts Ø 6-64 mm to 5.5 mm (0.60 kg) and TU 75 cuts Ø 6-76 mm to 5.5 mm (0.68 kg). In electrofusion the result is decided largely by surface preparation: the oxidised skin has to be scraped off the whole welding zone, and the pipe has to be round and in line with the fitting. These tools make that preparation repeatable — scraping by hand with a blade leaves untouched patches, and that is the most common cause of failed joints.
