Ritmo Pipe Shears — C3 AC and C42

Pipe shears cut small-diameter PE and PP pipe in one action. The steel-bodied C3 AC works to Ø 75 mm at 2.7 kg; the aluminium C42 cuts to Ø 42 mm, weighs 0.35 kg so it lives in the fitter's bag, and comes in orange or green. In electrofusion the result is decided largely by surface preparation: the oxidised skin has to be scraped off the whole welding zone, and the pipe has to be round and in line with the fitting. These tools make that preparation repeatable — scraping by hand with a blade leaves untouched patches, and that is the most common cause of failed joints.
