Lifting & Handling
Lifting and handling equipment covers everything that takes a load off the floor, moves it horizontally and puts it up on a rack: pallet trucks, stackers, hoists and winches, jacks and trolleys. The choice starts with two questions — how heavy is the load, and how high does it have to go. This page explains what each of the six groups does, how capacity is sized, and what periodic inspection requires.

Lifting and handling equipment sets the daily tempo of a warehouse: how quickly a pallet leaves the floor, how high a rack can be stacked, and how much one person can move safely are all measured by these machines. The choice starts with two questions — how heavy is the load, and how high does it have to go? Moving a pallet and lifting it onto a rack are different machines: a pallet truck raises the load a few centimetres and moves it horizontally, while a stacker takes the same load up to rack height. Chain hoists and winches lift vertically; a jack is for raising a vehicle or a machine briefly, in place. When sizing capacity, leave margin above the heaviest load and do not overlook the load centre — a nameplate rating assumes the load sits correctly on the forks. Powered models cut operator fatigue substantially over distance and frequent use; for a business moving a few pallets a day, a manual pallet truck is usually enough. Seza Global supplies this whole group wholesale and on a project basis. Request a quote for capacity selection, spares and service.
